Fidget spinners are loads of fun and can offer many benefits. Fidget spinners give hands something constructive to do when nervous. This fidget spinner sensory board helps to decrease anxiety by redirecting focus away from a stressor or tension and directing it, instead, to the fidget spinner.
Sensory therapy has been used to promote mindfulness, stimulate visual and tactile development, teach cause-and-effect relationships, promote focus, help regulate behavior, stimulate memories, and increase communication. Applications for a sensory board include Autism, ADHD, Alzheimer's, and Dementia. A sensory board for autism provides many of these therapeutic advantages.
Customization and Usage
Since we customize each board, we can lengthen or shorten this board to practically any length required. Just contact us if you have a special size requirement.
Our sensory boards are made of solid wood with a blackboard canvas that can be written on with chalk or blackboard pens (add drawings, personal messages, breathing instructions).
The frame is designed to be used on a tabletop or securely mounted with secure-mount anchor bolts (not included).
Orientation Options: You can choose to hang the board vertically or horizontally. Custom text is available only on horizontal options. The text "spin" will be oriented based on the chosen orientation. *Note: The board will be created in a horizontal orientation by default if no orientation is selected.*
Additional Information
Our boards are custom-made, so variations in wood, wood patterns, knots, striations, and frame sizes may vary somewhat from piece to piece. We have many other sizes and color variations available in most cases, so if you have any special requests, just let us know.
If you have any special requirements, let us know before you order, and we'll be happy to work with you. We have several other sensory art designs available but not currently listed (See image).
Although we take great care when creating our wood pieces, they are designed for gentle use and should be used with adult supervision. They will not withstand rough play. We can provide replacement parts in most cases (for an additional fee), but we will not accept returns for broken artwork.
The frame is designed to be securely mounted with secure mounting drywall/concrete anchor bolts (not included and can be purchased at most big-box stores). It's important to only use mounting hardware that is rated for your particular mounting surface and the weight of the board.
